I'm convinced, after being nearly finished with my first semester of teaching, that some of the stupidity demonstrated by students in the American public education system has less to do with poor schools and teachers and more to do with students spacing out all of the time. For example...

Teaching is for the birds

So, the place the teachers are supposed to park is directly under a powerline. It's as if Mother Nature decided that I didn't have to put up with enough crap in my classroom that I needed a bit more in my life. I saw a guy literally do a double-take at my car today. Be forewarned that this is not pretty.
